Jack graduated from high school in Mount Pleasant and attended Burlington Community College. In addition to his family, Jack had a lifelong love for the adventure of the open road, from his solo 30-mile bicycle ride at age nine from Mount Pleasant to Fairfield to visit his grandparents to a career as an adult driving over-the-road trucks coast to coast. A quiet man of Christian faith, Jack was always active in church. When at home in Bondurant, he enjoyed family visits, swimming, reading his Bible, and annually the Iowa State Fair. Pandemic limitations preclude a gathering to celebrate Jack’s life at present, but with a hope for such a time in the future. In his memory, gifts may be made to Suncrest Home Health and Hospice, 5959 Village View Dr #100, West Des Moines, 50266. Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home
