Peggy Fellingham Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Peggy Fellingham, 54, of 615 Linn Street in Boone, passed away at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames on Thursday afternoon, March 25, 2010. She was born on March 16, 1956 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Ivan and Marilyn (Thompson) Buechler. On December 15, 1979, she married Steve Fellingham at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Boone. Peggy was currently employed in the kitchen at the northside Casey’s in Boone. She and her husband, Steve, owned and operated Fellingham Tree Moving and Nursery in Boone for a number of years and were involved in the Johnny Appleseed project. Peggy raised Shar pei dogs and loved to garden. Her father Ivan in 1993, husbands Mark Hopkins and Steve Fellingham, and a brother-in-law Jeff Heiden in 2009 preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter Rachel Bousselot and husband Christian of Grand Mound, Iowa; a son Chris Fellingham of Boone; 5 grandchildren Jostin Jones, Jevon Jones, Jorian Jones, Cale Bousselot and Calysta Bousselot; mother Marilyn Buechler of West Des Moines, Iowa; 4 sisters Gloria Birkenholz and husband Wayne of Ankeny, Iowa, Sandy Schaefer and husband Norb of Lacona, Iowa, Rhonda Magnuson and husband Mike of Ankeny, Iowa and Paula Heiden of Boone; her fiancé Jerry Barbour of Boone; nieces and nephews. Her wishes were to be cremated. Graveside services with burial to follow will be held on Tuesday morning, March 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with Rev. Jerry Bertelson officiating. Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Tuesday morning prior to the graveside service from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., with the family present during that time to greet friends. Those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial may direct their gift to the family.
