Richard Deal

Richard Deal, 69, formerly of Boone passed away at Abington on Grand Care Center in Ames, Iowa on Saturday evening, April 13, 2013. He was born on October 15, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Glen and Orpha Deal. Richard lived in Ames as a young boy before the family moved to Nevada to make their home. Following his mother’s death, he and his father moved to Boone where he continued to live until the late 1990’s when Richard moved back to Ames. Richard worked at the Redemption Center for a time and later at the Wal Mart Store in Boone. He loved to follow all sporting events. He was a member of the Boone Biblical Memorial Church in Boone. His parents, Glen and Orpha Deal and step-mother, Lydia Deal preceded him in death. Services will be held on Monday morning, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Boone Biblical Memorial Church in Boone with Bruce Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa. Friends may call at the Church on Monday morning prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
